Does St Ives lotion darken the skin

I just bought this version of St Ives lotion and I was told by my neighbour that all st ives lotion darkens the skin. Is this true for every other person that uses st ives lotion?

There is nothing wrong with dark skin. Why are you people insecure about your skin shade

I prefer Nivea but St Ives is a good lotion too. It enhance your skin color.

Am using St Ives Collagen And Elastin Renewing Body Lotion and it helps my chocolate colour glow. Ive always being against lightning creams, but even my sis that is light skin uses St Ives and her it didn't darken her at all. It even help her skin glow more.
