Spinach in Yoruba

I have two questions: Is the spinach in America the same as the one we have in Nigeria? and What is the Yoruba name for spinach?

I think spinach is called Amunututu in Yoruba. Also the spinach they have abroad is different from the spinach we have in Nigeria. Our own resembles water leaf but is larger and thicker.

All spinach (assuming there are different ones) are from the Amaranthaceae plant family. So the Nigerian one might be the same spinach they have overseas.
I have eaten the American one and it is softer, although it tastes the same as our Naija own.
